The Battle at Puebla Fiesta is held in Coachella. Thousands attend.
A Queen reigns over the event. Food booths, Mariachi, Folklorico dancers
and dance bands entertain the public. Held on the Sunday before or
on May 5th. Colorful costumes are the order of the day.

  
Mexico’s Independence Fiesta is held in Coachella. The Grito
is done for this victory. A Queen reigns over the event. Food booths,
Mariachi, Folklorico dancers and dance bands entertain the large attendance.
The colors of green, white and red and flag colors with the eagle are
displayed for the celebration. Sunday is the day of the fiesta.

 
The Coachella Chamber of Commerce puts on a holiday parade on the 2nd
Saturday in December. Schools and organizations are invited to decorate
floats or participate in walking groups to celebrate the Christmas
season. A Grand Marshall leads the event. Many businesses also join
in the excitement. Santa arrives with treats for kids and awards are
presented to the winners by city officials at the Coachella Veterans
